Nate Smith

Nate spent the younger part of his life traveling around the world. Living in areas such as London , Scotland , and Malaysia , he was never in one place for longer than four years. Even when his location was away from the mountains, he always found a way to them. Climbing and mountain travel have been Nate’s strongest passions. His climbing and backcountry travel extends from the cascades of the west coast to the Rockies of Colorado. Nate also shares a strong passion for teaching. He hopes to assist many in their enjoyment of the outdoors through all aspects of backcountry and vertical travel. Nate holds a Wilderness EMT, AMGA Top Rope Site Manager, and Personal Trainer certification. He is also an instructor for the American Red Cross for emergency first aid and CPR courses. Nate currently lives in Salt Lake City , Utah where he is a student at the University of Utah . Nate also works as a mountain guide and climbing instructor for Sierra Wilderness Seminars out of Mt. Shasta , California , and the University of Utah ’s Outdoor Recreation Program.
