Thad
has been guiding for exum since 1998 and he managed
the summer rock climbing program for several years.
He left a job managing a climbing gym and guiding
in the Cincinnati area and moved to Salt Lake City
in 1994 for the rock climbing, ice climbing and backcountry
skiing.
He
currently works winters with Alta
Ski Area on the snow safety crew, and guides
for Exum in the summers. Thad has been rock climbing
since 1983, including
first
ascents in the Red River Gorge and the Utah desert.
He has climbed technical & alpine ice all over
Utah, Wyoming and Colorado, as well as the Cordilla
Real in Bolivia and the Austrian Alps. He has spent
several years as a high school teacher, many years
running & working at summer camps, and most of
his life enjoying the outdoors.
